FutureMed is co-organizing the session EDI Extremes in Geophysical Sciences: Dynamics, Thermodynamics, and Impacts. This session, which is explicitly dedicated to FutureMed and related communities, invites contributions focused on the understanding, modelling, and prediction of extreme events in weather, climate, and broader geophysical systems, from both theoretical and applied perspectives. It aims to bring together researchers from the traditional geophysical sciences with those working in mathematical, statistical, and dynamical systems approaches, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and discussions.
