Transformative. Collaborative. Visionary.
Our recent workshop brought together a powerhouse of experts across the Mediterranean and beyond to address one of the most urgent challenges of our time: hashtag#ClimateAdaptation.
This workshop was a powerful reminder of why interdisciplinary collaboration is essential in tackling the complexities of climate change.
Our focus was on tools, methods, and success and failure stories related to climate change adaptation – particularly in response to climate change-induced hazards in the Mediterranean. We’re striving to understand why and how adaptation works or falls short, so we can create stronger strategies moving forward.
The takeaway? We’re not just responding to climate change – we’re actively shaping a more resilient future for the Mediterranean.
A special thanks to Salvatore Grimaldi, President of IAHS – International Association of Hydrological Sciences and COST Association – European Cooperation in Science and Technology, as well as Simon Gosling and Ilias Pechlivanidis, for their invaluable insights and leadership in a key session on climate adaptation strategies and potential synergies that will undoubtedly shape the future of our work.
A huge thank you to Elisa Savelli, Samira Khodayar Pardo and Mikaela P. for the organization of the event and to everyone who participated (including Alexander Fekete, Virginia Hernanz, Sonia Quiroga Gomez, Christian Pagé), shared their expertise, challenged assumptions, and contributed to this important dialogue. Together, we’re making a tangible difference.
And yes, we had great fun too!
